Hi, I am a multi award winning Australian contemporary artist, with collections in Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK.

I work primarily in acrylic and mixed media.

I’m known for my whimsical, bright boat and fish compositions. I create images with successive layers of mixed media with an interest in spontaneity. My colourful works are expressive and dramatic, emphasising the energy of the painter’s mark. I find the artistic process exciting as it opens the gates for happy accidents beyond just the materials.

I also investigate themes of the Australian Outback as they relate to rural life and an ever-changing environment. Works such as the Flooded Plains series, with imagery composed of dots, colours, line work and abstract patterning, yield a complex ancient journey.

I like to explore life on and under the water.

I am also the author of a series of How Did You Paint That? art instruction books. The books are available from amazon.com and can be ordered from all bookshops.
